Apartment transformation and Interior Design in El Rosario
These overseas clients found us online and engaged us without ever meeting us in person. Discover how ProMas completely redesigned and remodelled this apartment to make it practical, spacious and stylish.
Modernise and Refurbish
The brief was to transform this older two-bedroom apartment into a bright modern apartment with a children’s bedroom, as a stylish holiday home for our clients from Qatar. The client wanted a modern look, inspired by greys, blacks and whites, with classic materials such as marbles and some contemporary features incorporated into the design.
So we did a full makeover, opening up the living area, upgrading the floors with quality marble, replacing the kitchen and bathrooms and refinishing the walls. We also installed luxury features like a marble staircase with a secure glass railing to make it more child friendly, a stunning black marble workbench and the gallery ceiling. To make their holiday home that much more enjoyable, we even added a TV wall with an insert for internet, internet games and a sound bar. We were careful to get every little element right, such as the indirect lighting in the gallery ceiling.
Maximise space
One key challenge was to create more storage space and to fit a complete kitchen into the tight triangle space. Andy and the team worked to meticulous detail to ensure that every inch of the kitchen space was optimally used to fit all the luxury items. In addition to full oven and dishwasher, we even managed to fit a wine refrigerator for the client who likes things just right.
We also transformed the tired timber staircase into a timeless marble structure with storage underneath, to add even more luxury and to help keep the living space clear of clutter.
Stylish interior design
The client desired contemporary touches of colour in the interior design, so we found a few special pieces to give this home that modern yet comfortable feel. Prominent additions such as elegant new floors, a specially ordered black marble bench top, and a stylish copper sink bring luxury into this classic apartment. We kept some existing furniture too, because even with a complete refurbish there is no need to replace unnecessary items. All the curtains and blinds were made to measure in every room.
We also upgraded the existing brick fireplace to better suit the client´s taste, representing the perfect combination of classic and modern. The apartment is now both practical and fun – the perfect place to escape everyday life and relax in style.
A remote ´turnkey´ project
These clients were looking for reliable builders that could complete a turnkey project to transform their holiday apartment in El Rosario. They found and engaged us online to design and complete the refurbishment independently, as they were stuck overseas with covid-19 lockdowns affecting the globe. We were in touch with our clients on an almost daily basis, sending photos and videos of the work in progress, and choices for materials and furniture.
When we finally met the client for the first time and presented them with the finished project on time and on budget, they were delighted… ¨It´s better than I ever could have imagined¨. Now the client has a stylish and modern holiday apartment to enjoy their escapes to the wonderful Costa del Sol.
