Getting the best out of a summer home
ProMas completed this project in only 3 months to allow the the client to spend 10 weeks of the summer in their newly renovated home. Our client bought a property which was around 35 years old in an established area with mature gardens. They wanted a complete internal and external refurbishment along with redesigning some of the internal layout, a new swimming pool., under floor heating, new electrics, plumbing and air conditioning system. The clients also wanted to maintain the original integrity of the property, in keeping with the beautiful mature gardens and location. We had to knock down all of the internal walls, bring in all new electrics and plumbing throughout the house and fit underfloor heating. The new windows and terrace doors were redesigned to make them as large as possible to maximise light into the property.
Some of the external features which were now outdated were redesigned to give the property a more contemporary feel without changing the overall integrity of the villa. The old pool was taken apart and with some extra digging, was made much bigger and more modern by adding some steps and using white mosaic tiles. The new pool surround has been levelled off to the same height as the villa and tiled all the way, extending the terrace to the living room windows, giving our clients a comfortable large space for outside living. We then rebuilt the new internal walls to create a layout which suited the family with large open spaces all leading into the gardens, terraces and pool area. The standout design feature was the 3 sided fire place which is designed to be a focal point and enjoyed from the dining room, living room and even the kitchen!
